Ideal for teenagers from 11 to 18 years old,our programme is for all levels of equitation and all levels on English.We have 3 levels of English and 3 levels of Equitation,students do an assessment test on day 1 and are placed in their appropriate group. A good level of physical fitness is recommended..

THE CENTRE

Near Sligo,only 10 minutes from the beaches and dunes at Coney Island,it is run by Declan Mc Garry,B.H.S.A.I. who himself is a European showjumping silver medalist.

At the centre there are;
• 55 horses and 10 ponies.
• A large indoor arena(55m x 30m), an outdoor menege,and a cross country course..
• Bar, saddlery equipment shop and an entertainment area.
• The centre caters for 50 riders at any time.The equitation comprises or instruction,polocrosse,trekking to beaces,mountains and forests.
• 5 evenings per week there are organised activities,eg. Discos,Irish music,bowling and cinema.

PROGRAMME

Each Week
15 hours English language tuition
18 hours equitation
5 evenings organised entertainment.
2 evenings in the company of the host family.

INTENSIVE JUMPING COURSE

This programme is for good riders,who have a high level of riding.Their lessons will be in small groups,on high level horses,under the personal direction of Declan Mc Garry.

EQUIPEMENT TO BRING

• 1 Riding Hat
• Riding boots,chaps or short boots and half chaps
• A small rucksack
• A notepad and pens

N.B. An individual locker is available at the centre for each student.

ACCOMODATION

The accomodation is in a host family.Families are located in Carrowmore,Sligo town and in the seaside village of Strandhill.Breakfast and dinner are taken with the host family who also prepare a packed lunch which is taken at the centre.Each family hosts only 1 student of any particular tongue at any onre time.

ACCOMODATION AT
KEY INSTITUTE

We have accomodation for 15 students at the Key Institute.All rooms are ensuite and the students are supervised.

THE PRICE INCLUDES

• Transfer from Dublin airport to Sligo.
•Full board in host family,or at Key Institute
• The Equitation and the language learning courses as described.
• The transport to and from host families to the Equitation,Language courses and the evening activities.
